Q: (Registering) Cannot Login I registered for the site successfully but cannot login, why is this? A: Please think back, did you put a space in your username or password? If that is a yes to username, then try logging in without a space, just delete the space in the name. If that is a yes to the password, then please click lost password and use what ever it sends you, then login with it, and change it!    Q: Stories Login Error Why do I get an error when i try to log in to the stories section? A: This is because you most likely have more than 1 SIN username and probably have logged in with more than one username since the last time you rebooted your computer. To prove if this is the problem or not, please log out and log back in as your other username (that you may have used recently) and try accessing the stories again. If/When you are successful you can delete COOKIES and temp internet files (internet cache) then log out of SIN (the link is at the bottom of any SIN page) and reboot your computer to be able to login as another username. Please make sure that you attempt to log in to stories with all of your usernames and have had deleted cookies before contacting us. *Addition* There is also a problem with storyboard logins when you delete your SIN account, then remake it with the SAME name as before and try to access stories again. This will give an authentication error. When you make a new SIN account, a secret key is passed to the story section with your profile for that part of the site. The reason is so you do not have to log into that board, you are automatically logged in when you login to SIN. It checks the key on login, then if correct it allows you to access the boards. When you deleted (or we did) your account you removed this number and were given a new one when you signed back up. To fix this problem you must email spankinginternet@gmail.com with your username/nickname and request that we fix this so you can access the boards. Please give a semi detailed email so we know what you are referring to.  Q: Login problems I cannot log into the website, but i could yesterday. Why would this be? A: Unless you have changed your password and forgot (which you can click lost password from the SIN home page to find it), You might have had the age in your profile blank or under 18. If you are under 18 please discontinue using this website immediately as it is illegal for you to be here. If you are over 18 and had removed the age or put it under 18 for roleplay, please adjust it to be correct. If the profile age is blank or under 18 your profile automatically gets deleted in the daily sweep. Another reason for not being able to login may be that you had a picture in your profile that was not of you. As the page says when you add pictures, they must be of yourself, not drawings or artwork or of other people. Failure to comply results in your total account being immediately deleted for not following the rules. If your account is deleted and you violate this way a second time your computer will be banned from the site permanently. Q: Cannot login to the chat rooms Why can't i log in to the chat rooms? A: If you get a red page and that is all, you need to update your java. Go to http://www.spankingchat.com and scroll down below the listing of chat rooms and click Java Update. If you have a password error, its possible your account has been deleted by SIN or yourself for one of numerous reasons. Please log out and back in to SIN, if you cannot log back in, please make a new account - (unless you have been told you were banned) If you have a login error saying your nick is already in use, make sure you are not logged in to the room with mIRC or in another browser. Then simply wait about 3 mins, then click connect. If you get a KLINED message, that means you are banned. Q: Video Playing Problems Why does the video show a white or black screen with sound but no picture? A: Please close all browser windows and then open just one and return to the site. Make sure your windows media player is not open. Windows media player must be closed. Q: Getting SINmail Notifications, but no SINMail! If you recieve sinmail notifications and do not have sinmail when you login to the site this can be for a few reasons: #1 The person sending you a sinmail just ran out of free sinmails but the system hiccuped and still sent you a notification. (working on this) #2 The person sending you a sinmail deleted their account after sending. #3 The person sending you a sinmail was deleted for spamming. We apologize for any incovience this has caused you. A: We are working on a solution. Q: Change Nickname How do i change my account name? I need either the first letter capitalized or have the capitalization removed, need to add a collar {} or need a new name. A: If you need to change the capitalization, please click contact SIN and give us your username along with how you would like it to show on the site. If you want to add a collar, or need a new name. You must sign up a new account. If you will not be using your old account please click mysin and go to your account info and delete it. If its a paid account please email us first to transfer your paid membership. |
